I am going to assume you mean the FULL Adobe Acrobat product as there isn't anything called Adobe Writer...

I posted the document on the webm when to my suprise one of our clients emailed us to say that they are unable to open the attachments. The client has adobe reader 5.
Correct. Reader 5 can't do that. Reader 5.1 and 6 can, however.
