Thanks for your note, since Acrobate Reader 5 can not open attachments embedded in pdf documents then can I save my document in a manner to allow users with Acrobat reader 4 and 5 to open the document as well as the attachment, how can I solve this delima?

I am going to assume you mean the FULL Adobe Acrobat product
as there isn't anything called Adobe Writer...

Correct. Reader 5 can't do that. Reader 5.1 and 6 can, however.
