Hello, all, and thanks for any help/insight that can be provided. I am in need of a PDF converter that can truly batch process Visio files.
OK.
What OS platform? Desktop or server?
In reviewing some of the "batch" converter programs,
Which ones have you already reviewed?
The processing I require would involve over 500 documents on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, making all the "batch" converters I have found so far to be quite useless.
That's not a lot of documents. Systems like DocConverter and AdLib eXpress handle more than that PER DAY!!
All the file batch converters I have dealt with did not need to open any particuliar application in order to convert the document, and certainly did not have to open an instance for each file (and thankfully, too, after having converted thousands of files at a time to mp3 and jpg formats).
Most of the converters (at least on Windows) offer you the choice of "native" conversion or "internal" conversion. The former uses the native application thereby giving you the highest fidelity output. The latter uses internal "viewers" - less overhead, less fidelity.
