Hello everyone,
I am having problems when printing EPS files from PDFs.
Usually when printing directly from the native applications (Illustrator, FrameMaker, PageMaker, etc) the files are printed correctly. However, after creating PDF files from them and when printing these (on a normal PS printer), EPS images are printed grayscaled (about 50% lighter than the original color).
Does anyone know why this happens?
I have checked that all files have CMYK as the color format, that registration colors are not used, that the post script level is set to be compatible with 1,2 and 3 (when saving them on Adobe Illustrator). But still, it does not matter what I do, the result is always the same: grayscaled colors.
I have also checked the "Job Options" settings on the Acrobat Distiller and it all seems to be alright.
I have never experienced this problem in Windows, but I do now I am working with a Macintosh.
Is there a relation between the problem and how files should be saved or how settings on the Distiller should be made? I have also noticed that EPS files produced from Adobe Photoshop do not seem to face the same problem. The fact they are all rasterized could be the reason for this to be avoided maybe.
Am I the only one having this problem?
If anyone has an idea why this is happening, please let me know.
Thank you very much.
