The Adobe answer, you will have to get from Adobe.
However, they usually claim that "the customer" wants something which supports anything and everything which can be supported.
This is not what Schubert's plug-in does. Schubert's plug-in supports simple display. It downloads the PDF (as efficiently as possible) and then displays it.
It does NOT support anything beyond the base plane of the PDF, in particular not the annotation plane (which contains fields, links, comments etc.).
So, Schubert's plug-in does something, but not everything. This is not bad to start with anyway, and I am using this plug-in.
Adobe seems to have problems with OSX. I don't know if it is a technical issue (not so likely), or if it is a "attitude" issue (more likely), or both (most likely).
Max (suffering very highly from that situation).

Why does Adobe commonly tend to lag behind on Mac Acrobat functionality ? Freeware such as http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/ for instance can provide browser plugin support for OSX ?
