Also, once the pages are inserted, you can click the pages tab on the left and drag the pages around to the order that you want them with relative ease. But go ahead and upgrade to 6. Lots of other cool toys besides multiple file/page pdf creation. No, I don't work for Adobe. __________________________________________________________________ Dean said, > Right now, I have to use the Document>Insert Pages function. Under Windows you can also just drag PDF files from an open Windows Explorer window and drop them onto any open PDF file (in the Acrobat window). Acrobat will ask you where you want to insert them. You can shift-select multiple files too So in theory you could do the above quite simply, however Acrobat 5's performance on this was/is flaky and even if you opened your first PDF (say "001.pdf") and did select a series of files that are sequentially numbered: 002.pdf 003.pdf 004.pdf 005.pdf 006.pdf Sometimes the resultant merged file would not be in the correct order. Some seemed not to have the problem, some could make it go away by selecting the files in REVERSE order. 3rd party merge tools seem not to suffer from the flakiness nor does V6 as far as I know.
