Stan:  Acrobat 6.0 Professional has a batch feature which will enable you to OCR an entire folder of files. If you need more automation than that, look at Autocapture-X-Pro at  http://www.pdfstore.com/details.asp?ProdID=466

For keyword searching through a large number of files look at PDF 'Auto' Index Assistant  http://www.pdfstore.com/details.asp?ProdID=718  or possibly PDF Index Creator   http://www.pdfstore.com/details.asp?ProdID=699

Subject: [PDF] PDF OCR and Searching

Hi,
I wanted to ask if anyone would have a recommendation for the following two issues. I need to scan several thousand pages of documents into individual PDF files. Is there a program that I can point to a certain directory and have all the PDF files located there OCR'd?
Also, does anyone know of an application that can search by keyword and ferret out matching PDF files from within a directory and search within each PDF files that has been OCR'd? Not the filenames, but matching the search term from within all the PDF files.

Thank you,

Stan Drew
