I'm fishing here.

Are you using Acrobat 5, or 5.05?

Do your file names really have the extra period in them?

What happens if you only leave the period (dot) before the file extension?

Let me know if you catch any yellowtail (off the Coronado Islands), or you still are skunked.

Don't you get some sort of error message more than what you posted here?

Rich

I have multiple .doc files (Word 2000 / Win NT 4 / Acrobat 5.0) that I made into PDF files with no trouble at all.  The file sizes varied between 1.6 mb and 21 kb.   When pressing the Adobe PDF maker 5.0 button from within Word, only one of the files crashes Word; and when I sent to distiller first, I got back the result of: "no PDF produced".

All files are using the same Word template.  It is the second chapter (file) that I am having the trouble with.  What on earth could I be doing wrong? How can I get around this?

Thank you,
Leslie
