I am currently developing an export facility from our Pick based application that creates PDF documents off the back of existing reports within our system. This is achieved by writing directly to a text file. All is working well and the PDF files created are opening in acrobat with no problem. The next stage is to apply some right hand justification to some of the columns of text and the only way I think I can achieve this is to have a matrix of all the character widths for the type 1 fonts, and from this calculate the appropriate starting position for the string. Could someone tell me where I can get hold of the character width tables?
