Further to my previous posts ... I re-ran my encrypted string back through my rc4 algorithm and I get the correct text. So I'm obviously using the correct key ... except that my key seems to be generated incorrectly because I still can't open the document in Reader. So I ask again (very nicely, please help!!!) ... given the following information, what should my string be (the one that is passed to the md5 hash in Step 3 of Algorithm 3.1)? First 5-Bytes of Original Rc4 Key: 16 2A E0 C1 2F Object Number: 20 Generation Number: 0 Also, if my stream contains a line skip plus the text "BT ET" (without quotes) should I be including CHR(13) and CHR(10) in the encryption text or should it just be the text?
