On Strawberry 5.24.0 I can reproduce the problem by building Prima-1.46 with : perl Makefile.PL MAKE=gmake followed by: gmake (I didn't think of trying that earlier.) That it throws the same error adds support for the notion that it's a gmake-related issue as, kmx has suggested. It's a pity I'm such a klutz when it comes to makefiles :-( I was hoping that there might be someone who could spot the problem by looking at the generated Makefile that I provided. I compared it to the dmake-generated Makefile (which works fine), looking for some differences as regards lines involving "thunks.tinc" and couldn't find any difference.
