What I will do is look at building my own perl for inclusion with SciPDL. Ought to make it simpler. It has been at least a decade since I attempted anything like this so any advice appreciated!
Anyone want to recommend a particular perl version? I see 5.22 is current, 5.21 perhaps? Long term stability would be the main criterion. Also I am wondering about putting the whole thing under /Applications/PDL and including a ‘launch terminal running pdl’ executable as an extra. Anyone have any experience with that sort of thing? If so email me privately.
