My first cold weather LX experience was to take my brand new LX
and k1000 out on a day when the temperature was down around -40
(same temp on both F and C scales). I was out for just over and
hour, and the LX was still working. The K1000's shutter packed
up after about 3/4 hour, and the LX meter after an hour. The LX
shutter and mirror were still operating perfectly, and my
Kodachromes were perfectly exposed. I suspect the camera would
have gone much longer, but I had reached my limit of comfort.
The only other camera I have had that did as well in the cold
was my Nikon F2.
Thanks
