No, two last questions to help me decide on my new Pentax...

As you can tell, I've been away from modern 35mm SLR photography for a while. I do have the 1970's Canon TX, (50mm F1.8), which is okay, (especially for learning basics with), but it's also  slow and cumbersome when compared to the new lighter stuff. And I also have a 35mm point and shoot, a little Samsung AF zoom that has programs but no basic speed or aperture controls, and I hate the damn thing. It's okay for snapshots I guess, but when I'm using it, it doesn't even feel like photography to me...

So I've just about made up my mind to go for the ZX-M with the FG aa battery pack. it has the motor and the 2 different AE priorities I want, plus DOF preview, plus a great low price. And also, coming from an older Canon TX (match-needle metering only), I need to work a little with shutter and aperture priority automation to get the feel of it; I don't really need auto-focusing right now too.

But I want to buy good AF lenses now, because I'll probably update to a more advanced ZX5 or 5n later on.  So, my first question is, does the same 50mm F1.4 AF lens I would use on a ZX5N work okay with the ZM? I mean, does it also have a manual focusing ring that I can use without hurting the lens's built-in AF mechanism?

And my second question is along the same lines. If I buy a decent Pentax or Sigma or Tameron zoom lens (28-105, or 28-200, (or 300?)) will this also work on the ZX-M? Can I also manually zoom and manually focus these types of lenses without damaging their AF mechanisms?

Thanks for you patience and advice. This is a good group....
