Bob,

The KX metering is much like the K2, but no automatic.  A blue needle 
indicates speed the camera is set to shoot at.  A black needle reports what 
the meter suggests.  Match them and shoot.

The KX also shows the aperture set on the lens in the viewfinder, a feature 
adopted on the MX.
