I am not familiar with the super take or tele-tak variants, but I do
know that the tele-tak predates the super tak. I have the SMC tak 4.0
and am very fond of it. It seems to be very sharp and is quite easy to
focus. In sessions where I've used all three lenses, I've noticed it has
decidedly more contrast than both the K-mount SMC Pentax 400/5.6 and the
SMC tak 200/4.
