I just recieved a new lens from eBay, a SMC-M 135mm F3.5, and attached to
it is a "ASAHI PENTAX 49Ø SKYLIGHT GHOSTLESS JAPAN". Something didn't look
right with the filter, so I screwed it off and examined it a bit closer.
It seems that the filter is curved. The outside part is convex and the
inside part is concave! I have never seen anything like this before.
Looking through the filter it seems to be a weak magnifier. Does anyone
know if the filter is supposed to be like this? I would think it would
have an effect. Is this some kind of special protective filter just for
the SMC-M 135mm F3.5 lens?
