H Mike: Your envy is well placed. Pentax calls the 77mm Ltd to
be the best lens in its focal range (as opposed to focal
length). I have done a couple of paying jobs with it, which I
cannot post to the web, but have a look at the link below, which
has 3 largish images (around 100k each) taken the day I got the
thing.

I hope to railroad someone into posing for me in the next little
while so I can do some more "testing". Failing that, I suppose I
will have to brave the cold and do some outdoor stuff with it.
The lens is a really good quality match for the LX (Pål and I
managed to agree on something for a change), though he likes the
silver finish, and I would prefer it in black. You would never
know it was an AF lens from the focus feel. It is a really nice
lens.
