Puzzling though, why replace a camera that is highly thought of and
(apparently) a best seller.

Could Pentax manufacture a replacement at less cost and so increase
their profit margin?

Should I start stockpiling 5n bodies? It is possibly my favourite SLR of
all time and there does seem to be a trend towards less compatibility
with the old lenses.
