I've used both the FA and the M version (which I quite liked, actually), and the FA always seemed darker in the corners than the M version and the 30/2.8. I noticed this even when looking through the lens with the filter off. I don't own two of the same body, but I tried changing lenses on the same body and noticed a difference.
