OK - Now I read the article, which I found excellent and to the point.

I'm happy my simple subjective analysis matched the author's more objective
tests and conclusions.  I agree with his final statements whole-heartedly.

I also like to use Velvia when I want to use a slow shutter speed, as when
photographing waterfalls.  I don't have a big selection of ND filters to
limit the light reaching the film/meter so the slower Velvia gives
additional control.
