     Great question!  And I think the answer will be different for a lot of 
photographers (based on subject matter).
     I shoot available light B&W almost exclusively in a city setting.  My 
three lens selections would be the SMCP-FA* 24mm f/2.0, the SMCP-FA  35mm 
f/2.0, and the SMCP-FA* 85mm f/1.4.
