The "limited" part doesn't apply to me, because I've spent most of my career
shooting with TWO lenses, and sometimes just one, not three.

But the answer is, in the current Pentax system,

SMC-FA 35mm f/2 (for all general shooting)
SMC-FA 50mm f/1.4 (for indoors in "available darkness")
SMC-77mm f/1.8 or 85mm f/1.4 (for dedicated portrait shooting).

That's about all I need to do in photography and that's more than I really
need to do it with (a single fast 50mm to do everything with or a brace of
fast primes, 35mm and 85mm, are really enough for me).
