This TC is not something I'd consider using for serious photography: I'm the guy
selling the one you
saw on eBay! It's really something I just kept in a spare pocket sometimes.
It's actually quite an odd item: It has all the electrical contacts of the F/FA series
lenses but
not the mechanical autofocus linkage. It actually looks beautifully made from a
mechanical
standpoint. Optically it's a bit soft and I'm fairly sure it's a 4-element design
rather than a good
7-element design, which is what you should get. (No, I didn't take it apart to find
out even though
I only paid $20.00 for it.)
I'd be interested in finding out who really did make it.
I wouldn't recommend you buy it unless you're just curious and it goes for less than
$20.00
