I do agree that ~$20 is perfectly fine for a first TC to
experiment with. It will allow shots which would otherwise
be beyond ones range, though sacrifices will be made in
image quality. However, the necessity for one to hone &
perfect long lens techniques in order to make the best of
such a TC will, in the long run, be well worth the $$'s and
the excursion into modest optics.
