I find the so different in many ways, that I dare not think of them as
interchangeable. Does that make sense?
The 77/1.8 makes a nice stealthy portrait lens, easy to carry, fits a ZX-5n
with medium length fitted case, most impressive contrast, great bokeh, etc.
The 85/1.4 is intimidating in size, and not easy to lug around, and when you
pull it out on a street with the attached hood, people stare.
How would you like to use the lenses?
The 77/1.8 is a great general performer, and also portrait friendly. I have
to admit only using the 85/1.4 once (borrowed it).
