I think i have about out questioned myself for this week.
I'm in the market for a 70-210 zoom and these are my options.
F4-5.6 Pentax SMC F
F4-5.6 Takumar F
F4-5.6 Tokina Macro
F4.5 Tokina
F4.5-5.6 Tamron 80-210
>From what i can see the two pentax lenses are identical except for SMC
coating. i do however have an SMC UV filter to fit, which would stay on all
the time.
The Tokina and Tamrom take a 52mm filter, i dont have any filters in this
size. Only 49 and 55 and the pentax takes 49mm, which would save me some
money on filters.
The Tamron only weighs 281grams where as the Pentax weighs 555grams. no idea
what the tokina weighs.
Any comments appreciated.
