On the other hand, all other brands have one top model with 100%
viewfinder coverage. This is where Pentax (as we all know) is
not
present at the moment. And it never was.
Maybe. But maybe not. The link to "35mm Viewfinder Surprises..."
at:
http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/mf/viewfinder.html
purports that the "100%" finders may be only 97-98% when
measured. Suggestions for measuring the viewfinder coverage are
discussed.
It has been pointed out on this list that comparisons to Pentax
are not always easy. It is as if Pentax is conservative in their
specifications. Or downright timid. Take the custom functions on
the 645n (or is it the 67II). It's apparently not easy to find
out that there even are dealer settable custom functions. Or the
recently mentioned comparisons between a certain Nikon "N"
series built in flash with guide number of 35 compared to the
Pentax ZX-5n with guide number of 11. As pointed out by a list
member, the Nikon sounds better but when the 35 feet are
compared to the 11 meters, they come out about the same. Maybe
the LX 98% by 95% viewfinder is pretty close to the other brands
top model.
