One of my own goals for a while was to take pictures so thoughtlessly that I don't remember taking them, because I have a maddening tendency to organize my memory in terms of the act of photographing--I can literally remember what lens I was using for almost every shot I've ever taken, a number which is creeping towards 100K. One day I finally managed it--I took a lovely shot of my niece dancing quietly in her yard that I just have no memory of taking.
