It's also one of the best-handling lenses I've ever tried. IMHO it's just
about the perfect size, weight, focal length, and speed. The AF is good,
manual focus is quite comfortable, and I just love the matching metal lens
hood and luxurious metal lenscap that goes over the hood. It's very
comfortable to keep the lens cap on and then slip it off and hold it in your
hand while you shoot, then re-cover the lens as you go on your way. The
perfect walkaround lens.

Pentax went for a "balance" of good properties with this design, and really
hit the nail on the head. It's a lovely lens that anybody should be proud to
own.
