If money is tight you might want to go with a PC. I just bought a Pentium
III 650, ABit VL6 MotherBoard with 30 gig hard drive, 53x CD-ROM player,
floppy, a 10/100 network card, 56K modem, sound with speakers, wheel mouse,
128 meg mem, 16 meg video APG card, USB, keyboard, small tower case
delivered for less than $600. Check www.pricewatch.com
Already had a 19" monitor.
The speakers are poor but everything else is great. Also came with Norton's
and Perfect Office 2000 and Windows SE.
Runs Office 2000, PM 6.52, PhotoShop 6.0, Illustrator 9.0, Text Bridge
without a problem.
