Good point about D-76H, especially if Sid will mix a large batch
and keep it around a while.

Sid, if you insist on being thrifty, check out Photographers
Formulary and mix your own D-76 from chemicals supplied by them.

On a similar note, I tried ID-11 this evening, with TX @ 320,
normal development and 5-sec agitation every minute.  Nice
looking negs.  The reason I mention ID-11 here, is that it's
quite similar to D-76 -  some say it's even interchangeable. 
Differences are that it's a two package developer, and so the
chemicals stay fresher  for a longer period while on the shelf. 
Another difference is that some of the additives that Kodak uses
in D-76 to increase shelf life are missing in ID-11.
