I have an MX that drains batteries even when it's not in use. After about
two weeks in the camera, the batteries are down to half a volt from their
original 1.5. The meter works fine, otherwise. I have checked it, and the
problem is not that the LEDs stay on. They turn off as they are supposed
to when the winding lever is pushed back. Has anybody else had this
problem? Is it expensive to get fixed? I can still use it as it is, as
long as I to remember to take the batteries out after a day of shooting,
which is a nuisance.
