Right, like your 30-year-old Fujica ST-901 has a 1/250th sync speed.
You guys might not care to admit that anything that Nikon does is the least
bit remarkable, but a shutter than works mechanically at every speed, is
electronically timed for AE, and has a 1/4000th top speed a 1/250th sync
speed is a trick that has in fact never been pulled off before, and it's the
technological point of interest of the new FM3A. Relatively few premium
shutters even today manage a 1/250th sync speed, let alone mechanical ones.
