I've got a 1914 half-plate camera that uses a focal-plane shutter.
That's because the camera can be used as either a regular camera
or as a stereo camera with some minor reconfiguration. Presumably
trying to synchronize two leaf shutters was considered too hard.

It's not in working order, at present, but I'm toying with the
idea of trying to get it operational again.
