As long as it's just showing an "E" you should be okay. First, take the
film out. To rewind the film, look for a very small (think: pencil-point
size) recessed button. I believe the 928 has it on the top plate.
Pressing that button should rewind the film. If it doesn't, you can
always take the camera under your bed sheets in the dark (or anywhere
pitch black), open the back, and rewind the film yourself using the small
knob at the top of the film cannister. Once the film is out, try
removing and reinstalling the battery, and it should be okay. Put another
roll of film in just to make sure, if you want.

You probably have the "928," with no letter. 28-90 zoom, an SMC lens,
exp. comp in half stops, multiple exposure capability, and a panoramic
option. Not a bad camera.
