If you're speaking about the PZ-1p, the two large camera stores here in the Chicago
area stock the body, and most of the other smaller stores, if they have a
knowledgeable staff, can get one. I've found it's the chain type camera stores (i.e.
Ritz, Wolf, etc.) whose sales staff is basically ignorant about nay Pentax product
except the ZX-30/50. As far as marketing goes, I really do not remember much at all
about the PZ-1p when it was first introduced as I was still shooting manual focus back
then and did not keep up much on the AF stuff. However, in recent years, I do not
think I've ever seen an actual Pentax ad for the PZ-1p. Almost all Pentax's marketing
is geared towards the ZX series of cameras and their P&S's.
