A friend of mine in the photography business, John Bicht of Versalab, used
to be a Ferrari repairman. He says that the great majority of Ferrari owners
actually can't afford to own them. He saw it because they stretch to buy the
cars then can't afford to keep them maintained, so the repair people only
saw major problems, seldom routine maintenance. He says most Ferraris are
relatively poorly maintained. He said it was very frustrating and it finally
caused him to get out of the business.
