But you know panning with the subject is a form of stop-action shooting and 
the blurred backgrounds will impart the sense of speed and action.
You do have to reconnoiter the site, and since you're not likely to capture 
much color without flash, you might choose to shoot a fast B&W film, 3200 at 
least.
