Many of the arguments about the MZ-S have been a question of preference, i.e., the interface. I personally really like the interface since it is similar to traditional SLR's and doesn't run everything out of a little window with a dial. The real shortcomings of the MZ-S are the low FPS on the motor drive and the low flash sync speed. For flash work, the MZ-S does everything if you get the 360FG flash, but there are many who want a more powerful unit. You can also argue about the quality of the AF, but it's certainly the best Pentax offers. Again, my personal feeling is that it's a wonderful camera to work with, especailly with the battery grip.
