You forget that many on the list own more than one body, and many with
multiple bodies have at least one "old" and one "new". I have a PZ-1p ( a
verry fine manual camera, as others have noted; it will also serve as an AF
if one is really needed, it also allows auto braketing, etc. etc.), I have
some LXen, I have a 645, and I have an ME-Super. With respect to my
ownership of the older cameras, I don't think it is right to say I "crave
the old", rather I crave simplicity combined with functionality. With
respect to my PZ-1p I don't think you could say I "demand the new (meaning
programmed) bodies", rather I demand a high level of functionalality.
In general, I don't think you can generalize except to say that all Pentax
owners obviously "crave" the best and are willing (eager?) to face scorn
from less astute peers.
