Hi all and thanks to those who answered my quiry about
film and ttl
for my upcoming wedding(friends)shoot in January.
I did a test with RG200 and the SP with 280T at the family function last Saturday.I
used
the smc m 50 f
1.7(sorry Jeff i forgot to take the smc a 50 f1.7<g>) mostly between f 5.6 and f 8 and
shot all with the
Cotty's "plastic bouncy thingy"(pat pend)and i think it worked well.Kept the flash at
45
degree and the
plastic out about 1 1 /2 inches.
No red eye,no shadows,no flash burn.Colours looked pleasing.Only one was a bit under
as it
was a long
shot and i did not think the flash would do much to the background folk.None of the
ceiling bounce got
in the shot looked burnt either.
My only concern now is the ceremony will be in a larger golf club type hall with taller
ceilings.Would i be
better to shot the flash at 90 for this or just off 90, and use the plastic.(the last
one
i did 2 years ago
was in a small church with a non movable flash at 90 at worked well)
What would be a rule of thumb for ceiling heights for a goos bounce shot.
