i don't do many people pictures, so i don't use any blurring very much. the few times i do, it is to remove film grain. that usually requires a smaller radius than you use and probably less percentage too. i probably stay at no more than 50% and a radius of 2-3 pixels. opacity would probably be more than 50%. different purpose, so i think my numbers don't apply.
