Even the most expensive digital cameras have to think for a second or so before taking a shot. Something that in my mind, makes them dubious for portraits, action shot etc. James< why is he limited in paper size? 48" printers are available. if he is pro, he has to figure custom output into the budget, whether his own printer or someone elses. as for speed, a bunch of people shoot the D1H. very high speed. so far as i am concerned, your friend didn't do his homework first.
