a fellow PDMLer in like-new condition) and I am quite satisfied with it. The
focusing direction is not the same as in Pentax lenses but IMO this is not
very important in a macro lens. When shooting macro you have to use manual
focus - AF tends to hunt annoyingly - which requires you to switch both the
lens and the body to manual. But I guess its the same with Pentax lenses.

I almost always use manual focus with the Pentax 100/2.8 Macro. No wussie
clamp either for those not used to the ease of focus :-). Anyhow, AF does
seems to be quite good anyhow. And it's not true, you only must turn off AF
on either the lens or the body. And the clamp is there if ya want ;-) I
don't get it, all these people saying Sigma, when normally everyone here is
scared of digital and k-mount and in into Pentax 'for the glass'. Odd. And
the 5mm is nothing.
