I already have a grip strap to use. The base it uses is hollow and is certainly big enough. The tricky part would be finding the right place to put the button. I don't want to be able to press it accidentally but it needs to be convenient to use when I want to.

I doubt I'll ever find the right kind of button though, so this is probably all academic.
