Hi Raimo, I'm by trade a Graphic Designer, ads of 10 years ago still interest me, maybe none of them will ever reach "moonrise" which since 1941 has earned $500 000 in fine print form and has since then gone on to earn an estimated $25 million in resale. How much did Nike sell last year? I have a problem with people trying to limit art to just some form that is created by hand eg. a painting or sculpture. When does a photograph loose its artistic value -when its content is not to your liking. Please enlighten me...

Lets see those adverts after 10 (or more) years and see what happens. But I do not deny that purely commercial photos can have impact and even be - here we go - art. > All the best! > Raimo > Personal photography homepage at http://www.uusikaupunki.fi/~raikorho > > -----Alkuperinen viesti----- > Lhettj: Feroze Kistan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Vastaanottaja: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Piv: 04. tammikuuta 2003 0:20 > Aihe: Re: Re[2]: Are some photographs better than others? > > > >If you define impact has having produced the effect that the photographer > >desired than I would say yes.
