The old Pentax SMC-M 4.5/80-200 is very good indeed.
All the best!

Aihe: Looking for 80-200 zoom

>
>I just joined the group and one thing is for sure. There is not shortage of
>traffic! :-)
>I am looking for recommendation on a lens in the 80-200 range. I have an old
>Kiron, f4 80-210 that did a good job, it's just big and heavy. I would like
>to replace it with something smaller and lighter. Browsing the Camera stores
>it looks like the selection of manual focus lenses has really diminished
>since I was in the hobby.
>
>The only thing that really appealed to me was the Pentax zoom but it is a
>separate focus and zoom. I am not sure that I would like that after using
>one touch zooms for so long. I am primarily looking for a small lens so that
>means f4 to f5.6. So anyone got any experience with one and any suggestions?
>
>I have been a Ricoh shooter for years and just sent off the money for an LX.
>I have lusted over these since they were new! A few years out of the hobby
>and I am getting back. Have a line on a second LX too. I loved my Ricoh XR-S
>and used it so much it looks like it has been through a war. Sorry to ramble
>I am just excited about finally getting an LX after all these years.
