The 4.5/80-200 is just a bit bigger than the 4/200 - but the zoom is sharper.

Hi Kudzu and welcome to the PDML.
If you go with a prime, you can get a compact lens. The Pentax SMC-M
200/4 is an excellent lens, yet it's quite light and small. Ditto the
SMC-M 100/2.8. And there is a lot of great glass in the earlier Pentax
SMC series. The 85/1.8, the 135/2.5, the 200/4 (slightly larger than the
M version), and the 300/4 come to mind. And all of the Pentax 50
millimeter lenses are quite excellent. My favorite is the SMC Pentax 50/1.4.
