Remember that > while the practice may be illegal, possessing the knowledge isn't. this sounds rather similar to the practice that arose in the USA during prohibition, when companies sold all the ingredients for various wines & beers, but packaged under some innocuous name, and accompanied by a warning about the illegality of alcohol. To make sure that their customers didn't inadvertently brew anything illegal, the packaging included a complete set of instructions telling them exactly what _not_ to do! :o) On my trip to Romania a couple of years ago I was happy to be introduced many times to people's home-distilled palinka, and its second distillation called tsuika (or is it the other way round?). Amazing stuff. A few years ago in France I also became quite well acquainted with home-made absinthe, which had to be sucked from a sugar cube! Just don't tell the Revenue men... --- Bob > On 1/4/03 7:54 AM, Bob Blakely wrote: >> Anybody got a 'still? >>
